Together or Apart,

You're first in my thoughts, first in my heart.

Happy 2010 everyone! I hope y'all had a good celebration but didn't get too drunk, didn't fall asleep drunk inside a closet, etc etc.. Haha..... A quiet end to 2009 for me this year. Spent it at home with the family since I wasn't quite in the mood to join friends at NYE parties jostling with the massive crowd.

The past 365 days have had its ups and downs... but great things have happened and I think (lol.) I've grown up quite a little...
I've learnt to prioritize and plan out the steps that have to be taken so I can reach my end goal, and yet keeping a firm hold on reality at the same time. Even if I have to take a million steps to get there, the important thing is to have started on my first. I've learnt that nothing comes easy, and only because we fought so hard for it that the taste of success at the end will be that much sweeter.
I've learnt to not let myself get too affected by what people think and do. Life's a little too short to keep angsting over trivial things like that.. Friends come and go, but the true ones we find will always be there (: '09 also found me Adam and Cassie, to whom I say, here's a Jose to the next 365,000 days of awesome win (: xx.

I think in '09, the only hurdle (if I can even call it one.) that I've not been particularly successful with, is that Norwegian boy. Haha.. I remember reading somewhere once, 'an innate weakness in her, that she could never seem to overcome'. That quote fits to a T.
Though to be fair.... it's not like I try very hard in that aspect either. Ha. Simply because he's like a double edged sword, with the ability to bring out the strongest and weakest parts of my character. I guess I never really wanted to get over it. Well... I can only hope that in 2010, occasions wherein he brings out the best in me exceeds the alternative. Heh.

So, Resolutions! At the moment, it would simply be, to be patient, grit my teeth and work hard. Ronald Dino said, "God gives all of us many gifts and it is how we use our gifts that make a difference."

Today's Swedish lesson is on numbers.
from 1 to 10: ett, två, tre, fyra, fem, sex, sju, åta, nio, tio

To one and all, a Happy Happy New Year (:
