Faith Foundation

idealist

So the lecture by Tony Blair was pretty awesome.. he touched on the role and impact of religious faiths on political, social and economic issues around the world today. how faith can be used to foster understanding and cooperation. I suppose I'm more of an idealist.. which explains why i see much hope and opportunities for Blair's foundation. but it's not an easy task of course, with religion being such a sensitive subject that one has to thread every step with utmost care.. it's an ambitious attempt.. equivalent to finding a solution between the hamas and israelis. haha. but at least it's a step forward! (there's the idealist in me speaking again, i know.. but we have enough cynical people in this world eh. we could do with a little more optimism. heh.)

In other news.. I hosted my first surfers last week! Jack and Sophie from Southampton :) was greaaat getting to know them. how nice to be traveling round the world at such a young age... Now I have Rick with me, the traveling nomad with no watch, no cellphone and thus no sense of date and time. Fun :)
